Our take on Phygitals
Overview
Phygitals has the cheapest way in of the major vaulted-slab platforms, with packs from $1. It pairs that with an 85% default buyback that you can withdraw to a bank, and a stated guarantee that every pack’s contents are worth at least what you paid, by its own valuations. It also runs the backend for Underdog’s pack product.
The catch is the physical side. The few user reports we found describe slab redemptions taking around two months or longer, against the one to three weeks Phygitals states.
Fairness
Phygitals describes a commit-reveal scheme: a SHA-256 hash of the server seed, plus a client seed and a nonce, with per-opening proofs listed on your fairness page. That’s the right design. But the docs don’t include the algorithm itself, and their proof links point to a localhost address, so outside verification isn’t possible as published. That earns partial credit.
Payouts and shipping
Buyback is paid in USDC, which can go to a crypto wallet in seconds or to a bank in 1–3 business days. We found no user reports on withdrawal speed. Shipping is where reports diverge sharply from the stated times.
